Roots Spirits is a bold and fresh company founded in 2013, when two Greek brothers Manos and Nikolas decided to go back to their roots, find the best Spirits their history has to offer, and bring them to us in an exciting new form. Four Root liquors are handcrafted and based on ancient herbal remedies dating back to the middle of the 19th century, using natural native ingredients of Greece. In just a few years, Roots potions conquered the best bars in London, Athens, Rome, and Paris. Each Spirit has its own story.

The contents of this bottle originate from the Greek port city of Patras, where Tentura—a dark orange-red liqueur—was first crafted in the 15th century. Roots Kanela is a modern revival of this historic “tentura” recipe, inspired by the homemade tinctures infused with spices brought through the Ionian ports. This timeless Spirit is a deep, rich blend of true cinnamon, clove buds, nutmeg, and citrus fruits, creating an incredibly unique and layered flavor. Best enjoyed on ice with a slice of apple, it’s a bold and aromatic nod to Greece’s spice-laden history.
